Resume Packets

To submit your resume packet for National Congress competition, include the following in the order listed:

1. Cover letter
2. Resume (1 sheet preferred, 2 sheets maximum)
3. 4-H Story (maximum of 5 pages, double spaced)
4. Support materials (maximum of 5 pages)
5. Resume packets not following these criteria will be disqualified

Do not include a table of contents, tabs or any extra materials.All pages are to be one side only.

These items must be 3 hole punched and bound in a folder; the 4-H record book cover available from the 4-H Sourcebook is preferred.

Check your county newsletter or with your local 4-H YFD staff for information on when resume packets are due for judging. Remember, when doing a resume and cover letter always keep in mind the position that you are applying for. In submitting this resume packet you are "applying" for a position in the Massachusetts National Congress delegation. For this position, judges will be looking for experience and skills in leadership, community service and communications. You will want to make sure to highlight skills that you have in these areas in your resume, cover letter and support materials.
