New Volunteers
Welcome.
As you start out as a Mass 4-H volunteer, please use the web site to stay
in touch with your regional 4-H Educator and to learn more about
current events on the Mass 4-H website. You can find much information
here relating to how Mass 4-H works:
- Mass 4-H has a strong organizational system of Volunteer
Management best practices and advisory system.
- If you are serving as an Advisory Treasurer, become acquainted with
the Mass 4-H Treasurer’s Book system.
- Participate in a virtual animated
volunteer training session - - “Ages
and Stages of Youth Development” and learn new communication strategies
by selecting from several doors that present right, wrong, and
neutral responses to three common youth/volunteer interactions.
- Learn more
about leading clubs, organizing events, and assuming new volunteer
roles within 4-H.
- Contact your regional Educator and office to answer
your questions or gain new program resources for working with
youth.
- Learn
more about the wonderful 4-H Volunteer Community in your
area and keep posted on local and state events, fundraisers and festivities.
