Treasurer's Resources
The Massachusetts Treasurer’s Book system ensures accurate fiscal accounting and management principles for 4-H Advisories and Clubs. Such reports are important for 4-H volunteers to consult in order to remain in compliance with Massachusetts state law and mandates from USDA and UMass Extension. The Massachusetts Treasurer’s Book system was derived from the Michigan Treasurer’s Book system, a curriculum that has been adopted across the country to assist both volunteer treasurers and youth advisory, board or club members in learning fundamental accounting skills. In this way, 4-H volunteers and youth together learn financial accounting as a part of increasing life skills and community participation abilities.
